                                                       2008-2009 Activities

Canned Food Drive - Members label and count out the collection bags for the canned food drive. They deliver the bags to each classroom. Throughout the drive, Student Council members make appearances on the Cheetah Network News (morning announcements) to promote the event. This year Creek View collected over 13, 000 cans for the East Point Food Bank.

Studdy Buddies  - Student Council members work with children in grades
K-2 before school. They may read with them or practice sight word/math flashcards.

HAT DAY (or other sponsored spirit days to raise money)

Recycling - Student Council helps support the recycling program here at CVES. Every Thursday, members roll the large bins of recycled material outside for pick-up on Friday mornings.

Earth Day Groceries Project

Student Council is promoting Earth Day and the Earth Day Groceries Project. Creek View students will participat in the Earth Day Groceries Project! The students at our school will decorate paper grocery bags with environmental messages. On Earth Day, April 22, these bags will be passed out (full of groceries) to shoppers from our business partners, Kroger and Publix.  Besides carrying an environmental message, each bag will also have the name of our school and some wonderful artwork. The people in our neighborhood will get a very clear and positive message that the students at our school care about their environment.

Click here to find out more about the project. A report from our school will be posted on the website so others will know about the efforts at our school.
